This collection consists of genealogies, family histories, and other items documenting various Jewish families who have lived in the Greater Hartford area.

This file primarily contains geneological information, including census data, on the Hirschberg family. Additionally, there are a variety of newsclippings which fall into two categories, wedding announcements and obituaries. Also included is an article on the Hebrew Home for the Aged, several cards, and a handout from Dr. Hirshberg's office.

The person who wrote the cover letter is inquiring about information on Morris J. Hurwitz, who lived in Hartford in the 1940s and 1950s and had something to do with a radio station. Unclear if this is the same Morris Hurwitz as linked to the file as we have very little on that Morris Hurwitz. The family tree looks to be for the family Hurwitz married into.

File contains a family tree with a brief write up of their history.

Vertical reference files for individuals.

This family tree includes descriptions of the scope of the project as well as family history anecdotes.
