RESUME-OH
The majority of this file contains information concernin the variety of entertainment events that Louis Katz participated in, often in the role of MC. While he was most known for his entertainment, his official profession was the opperation of the cafeteria in the Kolodney building on Capital Ave for nearly three decades. The file primarily contains newspaper articles and clippings about these events, various lettes of correspondence, and several programs/posters for events he participated in. His material was labled as Jewish-American and it was noted that he told "dialetic stories".
His wife worked as Executive Director at the Emanuel for 27 years.
Some of the newspaper articles contain excepts from some of Katz's performance material.
Of note is a sketch drawn by Louis Katz of Dr. Émile Coué with the quote "Every Day in Every Way I am Getting Better and Better" which is a mantra associated with the doctor's work. Katz had an education in art, originally planning on making it a profession, and often times drew sketches for children, especially at Camp Courant.
