The Stanley Fisher Lecture Series was named in honor of Stanley. The series was meant to bring together secular opinions from the University of Hartofrd and Jewish opinions from those of the Emanuel Synagogue to examine topics that affect all people. The series was named after Stanley due to his dual roles for these organizations: he was a Regent of the University of Hartford (and the namesake of the University of Hartford's Stanley Fisher Institute for Adult Education) and a Director of the Emanuel Synagogue.
