Louis Brand came to the U.S. in 1913 at age 18. Mr. Brand related his affiliation with the Poale Zion in his early years, then the Farbund in 1922. He was very active and honored by the Farbund. He was chairman of the cultural committee of the Jewish Community Center in its early days.
