Black Economic Development Conference
June 3, 1969 minutes make note of James Foreman and the Black Economic Development Conference and a plan of what to do if representatives tried to read demands during services. (Foreman advocated for reparations for complicity in slavery and would interrupt church and synagogue services). The minutes document their policy for how to deal with this situation if it were to arise, which was to tell them they could read their demands following the service, but not to try and prevent them if they insisted on reading during the service.
