Hyman, Sam, 1943 - 1984

This file focuses on Sam Hyman's participation in sports, both during his school days at Hartford High and Georgetown University as well as his semi-pro career in baseball's minor leagues. He was in the Detriot Tigers Franchise when Ty Cobb was the manager. Several articles recount the day when in his forties, he was convinced to pitch for the Hartford Senators, locking up his pharmacy for the afternoon to secure the win.

The documents also talk breifly on his career as a pharmacist, and the fact that he was in the first graduating class of the Connecticut College of Pharmacy in New Haven in 1927.
